Magnificent Views

Built in the 20th century as a nine bedroom Hotel the Summit Complex has had several owners, a devastating fire and many changes since its historic opening.

The R.A.F. purchased the hotel in 1941, and it became a temporary radar-station. In 1952 a champion middleweight boxer named Randolph Turpin became the licensee until 1961. The Llandudno Urban Council bought him out when he got into financial difficulties with the Inland Revenue. He ended his life with a single bullet in 1966.

Travel to the Summit by Tram or Cable Car both journeys offer some spectacular views.

Drive to the Summit by Car, there is ample car parking and facilities for the Disabled.

A Bus service is available and will take you near to the Halfway Tram Station.

The Summit Complex now houses a Bar and Restaurant which is themed on the famous Randolph Turpin who once owned the Complex. A themed Gift and Curio Shop stocked with gifts and Souvenirs as a reminder of your visit.
